If you want to know how to make a good essay, the first step is to forget the myths that only a few people are able to write and are able to get good grades in college entrance exams, competitions, etc.

You may be surprised, but to take maximum notice in an essay just follow the criteria of the evaluation team.

There are many important details that, when obeyed, make your writing receive an excellent note, even if the text is not revolutionary or worthy of a Nobel Prize. Brokers are not looking for groundbreaking text or a spectacular idea, they just want an organized, consistent, and faithful text.

Let’s address these details here and prove how anyone can do very well in proofreading, even if they do not have much practice in writing. It is worth noting that the argumentative essay text is usually the most charged in the entrance exams and competitions, so we will pay special attention to it.

Learn now the step by step to make a good writing:

1) Structure your text accordingly

Is not difficult. Basically, to make your first essay you will start by putting on paper some simple ideas you had to write your first text. After writing the first few ideas, you will structure these sentences in the right format. This structure is the organization of what we are going to write. A good writing is divided into introduction, development and completion. So let’s see how this organization is:

Introduction
It’s a paragraph of 2 to 3 sentences only. We just put the basics in it, we say what we are going to talk about in the newsroom.

Development
May contain 2 to 4 paragraphs. It is in him that we will argue, to discuss the subject of writing.

Conclusion
It is a paragraph with 2, 3 or 4 sentences. It is a text closure.

Well, now that we know what the structure of a good writing is, let’s try to build it.

2) Ask the following questions to create the introduction, development and conclusion:

The introduction can be made from the following question regarding the topic: “what do I think about it?”

Development can be obtained by asking, “How can I prove this?”, “What causes it?”, “What are the consequences?”, “How does this happen?”, “How can I accomplish this?” .

And the conclusion question is, “What lesson can be drawn from this?”

From these answers is that you will organize your essay. Notice that we are dividing the essay before we start it, this is very important. Evaluators do not see writing as a single compact, closed text, they analyze the text in stages, so you should be concerned with each of these steps to make sure they are all meeting what they expect.

There is no way to make a good writing other than by dividing and analyzing the introduction, development, and conclusion individually. Any attempt to mix these 3 fragments without caution will destroy your note. With that in mind, we can continue.

3) Write down the main ideas that will serve as arguments
Before starting a text, it is very useful to write on a sheet some information about the proposed theme. For example, let’s say the writing theme is “Chocolate in the Modern World.” The first thing you should do is jot down some facts and arguments that you know about chocolate. For example:

  • Too much chocolate makes you sick
  • There are several types of chocolate
  • Buying and selling chocolate moves a lot of money
  • A lot of people like chocolate.

Note that the above phrases are not too large or too elaborate. This has a reason: the idea here is that you put the information on paper exactly the way it came to your head.

At the moment, we are not concerned with the structure of the text, nor with the perfection of sentences, because if you get “stuck” without being able to express yourself on paper, you risk losing a good argument, besides wasting a lot of time other ideas related to the subject are lost as you try to formulate a rich and elaborate thought).

So the purpose here is simple: put on paper what came to mind, as we are just building our pillars. The next step will be to organize the arguments that we create.

4) Organize each paragraph of the text
Looking at the arguments we have made about chocolate, we can note that the last argument we create there has a direct relation to the penultimate one:

  • Buying and selling chocolate moves a lot of money
  • A lot of people like chocolate.

After all, the chocolate market moves a lot of money precisely because many people like chocolate. This also motivates the creation of several different types of chocolate, so the second argument can also be included in this reasoning. The first argument serves as an alert. So a paragraph for our text, containing all these ideas, could be:

  • “As many people like chocolate, trading this product drives a lot of money. To increase flavor and application options, many different types of chocolate are manufactured. However, you have to be aware that too much chocolate is bad. “

Note that the sentences in this paragraph follow a logic; it’s not just information thrown away. This logic only existed because we organized the ideas we had there at the beginning. This process will always be used to ensure a fluid and well structured text.

Now we are concerned with the text of the essay, because before we were only concerned with how to construct arguments for the theme. Writing is the second step; you first have to put the arguments on paper, as we discussed earlier.

This detail ends up catching many students on the backboard, as trying to write from start to finish directly is much more difficult and risky. You are subject to many mistakes such as flight from the theme, lack of coherence and connection, etc.

5) Understand the steps of good writing
Okay, that was just a simple example for you to get an idea of how a paragraph is built in practice. Obviously, those arguments we created about chocolate would yield many other phrases and ideas, but our goal was only to show the concept of creating arguments and elaborating the text from these arguments.
As we have done with this example, we will show what needs to be taken into account most.

6) Learn how to make a writing (details) to rate
What we are going to do in the next articles is to teach you how to build an introduction, a development and a conclusion, because each of these stages requires special care and attention. These cares are simple, but they make all the difference in your final grade.
